In just a week, Monster Hunter Rise has gained an astonishing amount of new players. The game’s PC port found great success from those without a Switch; SteamDB reported a peak of over 100,000 players in-game at once. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is unique in its use of a real time calendar and clock. Some other titles offer a similar feature, but few rely on it so heavily. Almost everything in the game is based around what time or day it is, including events and much of the early missions you are tasked with during the introduction of the game. LunarCon is the latest in the wild ride that Final Fantasy XIV fans have experienced over the last few months.
