Fast Money in GTA Online

gta-v-online-1

Cash is king in GTA Online. You’ll need it not only for supplies like weapons and ammunition, but it also allows you to buy properties, exotic vehicles, and assorted items like player bounties and perks for your character. While Rockstar does a pretty good job of giving you opportunities to earn cash at every corner in GTA Online, there are a few shortcuts to earn money faster. We’ve put in the time to try and find shortcuts to faster cash in GTA Online, following the tips below, you can too.

Remember to Keep what you Earn

GTA Online has interesting mechanic that keeps players on their toes. Anytime you have over $5000 on you, it can be stolen by other players. If someone kills you, all your hard-earned cash will go down the drain. The game prompts you to visit in-game ATMs. These can be found at a number of locations around Los Santos, but you can also use your phone to bank your cash with an online deposit. Just open your phone, head to the web browser and select the money tab. From there just scroll down to Maze Bank and make your online deposit. It’s a lot safer than trying to find an ATM, and quicker too.

GTA Online Money Farming

Rockstar has done a pretty good job of offering players a ton of methods to earn money at every turn. You can rob banks, sell stolen cars, pick-up player bounties, and do missions which all bolster your bank account. But not all are created equally.

Stealing Cars and Selling Them – One of the methods to earn a good chunk of cash opens up very early for new players in GTA Online. Remember Simeon from the GTA V campaign? Well he’ll give you plenty of opportunities to earn by sending you on missions to steal high-end luxury cars. These missions are fairly easy, and entail you tracking down specific vehicles, taking them, and then bringing them back to his shop.

But there’s also a whole world of cars to be stolen in GTA Online. You can steal many cars for pure profit in GTA Online by taking them to the Los Santos Customs shops. Pick the right cars and you can earn as much as 11,000 for common vehicles that can be found all over the city. So you might be thinking to yourself ‘Why not steal the real high-end supercars and bank more cash?’. Unfortunately, you can’t. You’ve got to focus on the mid-range vehicles as the luxury sports vehicles are too hot for Los Santos Customs to deal in.

These cars will make you the most amount of money, but remember, you can only sell one car per day.

  • Lampadati Felon – $9500
  • Baller – $9000
  • Ocelot F620 – $8000
  • Benefactor Schwartzer – $8000
  • Benefactor Dubsta – $7000

Gerald

Lamar will introduce you to Gerald pretty early on in your time with GTA Online, and he’ll give you the opportunity to make some pretty good cash for a rookie. However, when you reach level 10 and beyond, Gerald’s missions become pretty lucrative, and replaying them can earn you nearly 10,000 for five minutes of work. Keep an eye out for Violent Duct and No Hay Bronca. These two missions will give $9000 dollars each, and can replayed by calling Gerald on the phone. You can do these missions cooperatively with friends, or by yourself.

Since you can replay the missions by simply calling Gerald, you can farm this cash over and over for stacks of

Violent Duct

Lester

Lester will introduce himself to you around level 10 as well, but he won’t start giving you really lucrative missions until you are close to level 20. Once he does, you’ll be earning nearly $10,000 per mission.  Replaying the missions from Gerald in the early going should net you enough cash to get your first property, but Lester’s missions and heists will allow you to stack the cash necessary for luxury properties and vehicles.

Farming missions and stealing cars is primarily the fastest way to earn money in GTA Online, but there are a ton of other methods.  While they don’t offer the big chunks of cash like the missions and activities above, you can earn money by competing in online matches like races and deathmatches.  You can rob stores, take other odd jobs, or just kill other players in free mode.

Earn 700k per hour

Once you reach rank 45 bigger and better opportunities to earn cash in GTA Online will present themselves. Martin Madrazo will eventually contact you with high paying missions, one in particular will pay you extremely well, allowing you to bank a ton of cash by farming the missions similarly to the previous lower level missions from Gerald and Lester.
