If you want to create the best possible team in FUT for FIFA 22 this year, you’ll need to know how to get coins fast. Coins are an earned in-game currency, separate from the paid-for FIFA points, and if you’re smart about it, you can accumulate enough to get around those pesky microtransactions and still build a stellar squad.
You’ll need to put in the hours to get these coins, though, so we’ve prepared a guide to get you there as quickly as possible.
Frequent Fixtures
The most obvious way to earn coins in FUT is through playing matches. You’ll receive a coin bonus based on game performance after each game, so the more you play, the more you’ll earn. Coin Boosts are also available, which unlock through Milestones and Season Progress, so keep an eye out for when these are active, as you’ll receive an extra portion of coins for each game completed.
Sell, sell, sell!
If a player doesn’t fit your squad, sell them. The easiest option is to sell quickly, which you can do by either opening the packet or selecting the player in your selection. You can also put players on the live Transfer Market, but this is a waiting game and is only worth it if you can pack the most popular players. Don’t forget you can also sell consumables from packs like Managers and Stadiums.
Flipping Cards on the Transfer Market
While it might not always be worth your time selling your players on the Transfer Market, it is worth checking out who others are selling. If you can buy a rare card near the end of the auction, keep an eye out for the Start Price compared to the Buy Now Price, as you might be able to snag a bargain and put the card back on the market for an increased profit.
Division Rivals, Squad Battles and Squad Building Challenges
The two most lucrative modes in FUT are Division Battles and Squad Battles. If you take part in these weekly challenges, you’ll not only receive the regular coins for match participation, but you’ll also receive extra bonuses in the form of coins and packs for reaching reward levels. In addition, you’ll even receive points for losing games, so concentrate your online playtime on these modes, and you should reap the benefits.
Squad Building Challenges are also crucial as they offer further rewards and affect the prices on the Transfer Market. Other players might need some spare cards to complete the challenges so that prices will soar on induvial cards week on week. So keep an eye on this mode to see if you can take advantage and make a quick buck.
With all these hints, you should be able to rack up coins fast in FIFA 22. We won’t tell you how to spend the in-game currency, but we would advise against using your coins on Gold Packs as the money is better to spend on accumulating individual players for your team on the Transfer Market. We’ve plenty of other guides on our dedicated page, so make sure to check that out once you’ve built your dream team.
FIFA 22 is available on October 1st for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC.
